This is a new blog idea that I thought of. Every Friday, I will post something that always gets on my nerves and talk about it. Yes, this is kind of based off a meme.
What really grinds my gears are people who are addicted to their phones. Seriously, there on their phones 24/7, keeping up with their Snapchat, InstaGram, etc. They're always obsessing over the latest trends, and HAVE to keep up with them. I really don't see the point of having to check your phone every minute of the day to see the latest funny cat video or newest trend. Why would you devote pretty much your entire life to your social media? There could be the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man about to destroy your entire neighborhood, but you have to post about it on every social media account you have? I find it quite disappointing to see city sidewalks nowadays. It's like everyone has their eyes on their phones, and not on the real world. C'mon people!! WAKE UP AND SEE THE WORLD FOR A DAY!!!!! THIS IS OUR WORLD, AND WE'RE NOT FOCUSING ON IT. WE'RE FOCUSING ON OUR TWITTER, FACEBOOK, KIK, SNAPCHAT, INSTAGRAM, ETC. I have also noticed that phones are getting bigger and more expensive. I can't believe that the iPhone 7 Plus, just another phone, is seven hundred sixty nine dollars, when an iPhone 5s, with pretty much the same capabilities and is a bit smaller, is a fraction of the price, at about one hundred dollars. Unbelievable! I don't see why people have to buy the newest phone when it comes out. I would see a reason if your service provider was running a deal where you trade in your old phone for either the new phone or money to buy the new phone, but if you decided you had to pay a good seven hundred dollars to get the newest phone, that is just unreasonable. Things that cost seven hundred dollars (other than a new phone): - A laptop - A new video game console and games - rent - A heck of a lot of food - 542 ($1.29) songs on iTunes - some really expensive Nike shoes - around seven hundred packs of gum - A flight to Alaska Now, I don't have a phone. I do have some common sense, and i'm going to display it. The world today shouldn't be addicted to phones and willing to pay top dollar for them. Sure, news, contacting people, and other things are important, but your social life shouldn't overtake your real life. If you would like to contest my gear grinding, feel free to leave a comment! Any comment will do, but please don't get triggered if my post offends you. That is your problem. I am not one to deal with that. It's a case of "not my circus, not my monkeys," and I'm just here to have a good time and vent. Well, that was the first post on what really grinds my gears. Have a good day!!
